Merline Marcia Barrett, Associate. Merline join the Firm in January 2003. Her practice areas include Banking & Finance Law, Insurance Law, Probate and Administration of Estates, Civil Litigation, Real Estate Acquisition and Development.
Merline obtained her law degree from the University of the West Indies and her Legal Education Certificate from Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. She was one of the top ten graduates in her class receiving Chairman’s Prize for Excellence in Evidence and Forensic Medicine, Remedies and Civil Procedure and Practice. In 2007 Merline obtained a Masters of Science Degree in Finance and Financial Law from the University of London.
Merline is admitted to the bars of Jamaica and Anguilla in 1999 and St. Kitts and Nevis in 2004. She is a former member of the Reform Committee on Family Law and Domestic Violence, Anguilla.
Outside of the practice of law, Merline is a member of the Anguilla National Trust and the Secretary of the Anguilla Tennis Association.
