Jean M Dyer, Associate. Her practice areas include Civil and Commercial Litigation, Offshore Trusts and Financial Services, Real Estate Transactions, Probate and Administration of Estates, as well as Government Relations.
Jean obtained her law degree from the University of the West Indies and her Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad. In 2000 Jean was afforded the opportunity to pursue and obtain a Master of Laws Degree in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge when she was one of ten persons in the Caribbean awarded a Prince of Wales (Cable & Wireless) Cambridge Chevening Scholarship.
Having qualified as an Attorney at Law in 2003, Jean joined the Attorney General's Chambers in Montserrat as a Crown Counsel where she prosecuted and litigated before the High Court and Court of Appeal and, advised, inter alia, on income tax, financial services and commercial issues. Jean also served as the Acting Registrar of Lands from 2003 to 2005 and as a part time lecturer in Business Law and A Level Law at the University of the West Indies, School of Continuing Studies, Montserrat from 2003 to 2006.
Jean is committed to serving the community and is a past Secretary of the Rotary Club of Montserrat (2005-2006) and was President Elect for 2006-2007.
